MAMIL James takes on the Dolomites

Inspired by Sir Bradley (17 years his junior) and Team GB, and given his love of The Engadine and The Dolomites, James Sunley could think of nothing better than a gentle autumn bicycle ride crossing the Swiss Alps from Geneva to Venice. When he entered this infamous event in March, the idea of 910 kms in a week seemed ambitious, but not impossible. Unfortunately the detail lost was the 21, 600m of climbing on a course featuring 21 cols and assents. This is the World’s Highest and Toughest Cyclosportive. James wrote in his appeal “I am taking inspiration from an outstanding young man who tragically died whilst travelling with friends after his A levels in the summer of 2015. If anyone could help push me to the top of a mountain it would be Archie Lloyd (old boy of Cheam and Harrow)’. James raised an incredible amount and undertook a life altering challenge for Archie. Thank you so much James Sunley
