 IT ALL STARTED WHEN…

“ I have struggled with anxiety and other previously undiagnosed issues since I was little. My mum became physically disabled in after an attack by a prisoner whilst at work. I spend a lot of my time looking after her and I was unable to finish school due to my own health issues and my responsibilities at home, so I now spend a few hours each week in community college.” However, Snow-Camp has been a life changing opportunity. Ashleigh has realised that she does have an ability to adapt and learn. She has learnt that she can push herself further than she ever thought possible.

SnowCamp is a welcome respite for young people like Ashleigh who have struggled with mental health issues or are young carers or don’t have easy home lives. She has discovered a profound passion for snowboarding, and she can’t wait to further develop her skills. Being able to completely disconnect from the world around her and focus on her physical activity and surroundings has been an eye opening experience.”
