About Enrique

The inaugural Emerging Artist Apprenticeship with our partner charity, New Adventures, has been taken up by Enrique Ngbokota. Enrique’s two year apprenticeship started in 2020 with a year’s training in New Adventures talent development programmes alongside completing their final year at Elmhurst Ballet School. Enrique is now making their professional debut with the Company in Sir Matthew Bourne’s Nutcracker which will tour the UK through to April 2022. 

Sir Matthew Bourne first identified Enrique back in 2014, performing as part of the Lord of the Flies young cast at Birmingham Hippodrome. Enrique worked with New Adventures again in 2019 as part of their acclaimed Romeo and Juliet.

Enrique started dancing at just three and by eight had joined the Royal Ballet Junior Associates. Enrique went on to train at Elmhurst Ballet School at eleven and was there until they graduated in the summer of 2021.

Enrique has previously won Young Modern Dancer of the Year at The All England Finals, is a talented musician and passionate choreographer.
